...I have played violin over twenty years, and have participated in various performances. I was trained to play the instrument by using the Suzuki method, which teaches students first to play the music by listening to the melody, before reading the notes. I have taught beginner and intermediate learners in the past, and I can teach the instrument in both English and Japanese.
...My goal is to make each lesson engaging by using real life examples to better help students understand concepts. I also work with students to better organize their study area and their time, and to help them find the study methods that work best for their learning style. A little bit more about me - I am a Mechanical Engineer who loves to help students succeed in math and physics.
I am a new nurse in the Operating Room, but I am looking to help others more by providing tutoring services. I have received many academic honors throughout my education. In grade school and high school I was on the High Honor Roll, in college I received academic awards for being a top student-athlete, and I graduated nursing school with a 4.0 GPA.
...As such, I have a thorough understanding of science, math, physics, and engineering. Through my educational background, I believe that understanding previous material fully and the derivation of this material are crucial for understanding and remembering new concepts. As a tutor, I reinforce this understanding of the fundamentals to help a student learn difficult concepts.
