...I expect a lot more investment than that from both myself and from the students I work with. As such, I tend to over-prepare for my lessons and give my absolute tailored best to each student. It is therefore only possible for me to take a few clients per year, and I'd very much prefer to meet regularly with them for long enough to appreciate their progress and share in their success.
...I love helping people learn new things about science, particularly physics and astronomy. I believe students can learn things when they try to resolve the problems/questions by themselves. I have experience tutoring with high school students in physics and teach physics laboratory classes in the college level.
...What I enjoy the most is having a student who did not like math to hearing him/her say, "I love math now and it's not as bad as I thought it would be." That's exciting and it's also rewarding for both the student and the parent. It's important that a students confidence level grows and are no longer timid about math problems. Being loyal and patient is vital to a student-tutor relationship.
