I love to tutor and am excited to find myself with enough time to take on a small number of students. I graduated from MIT and am currently working on a start-up part time and at MIT as an instructor. I miss the one-on-one academic environment and am keen to share some of my knowledge.

...As a tutor, I strive to see things from my student's point of view, to explain concepts clearly, and to break down complex tasks into simple steps. Math and science courses can be difficult, but having an experienced tutor can make it enjoyable and rewarding. I look forward to working with you! - TobyWhile pursuing my degree in chemistry, I took 3 semesters of calculus.

...While most tutoring requests are for individual assignments or test-prep, I'm happy to work with students with more comprehensive needs. I recently tutored a student who needed to learn Algebra 2 in its entirety. We met several times per week over the course of 2-3 weeks, covering the material in cohesive chunks and working through a problem set as appropriate.
