I offer Math and Science tutoring for students located in the NW suburbs of Chicago. My degree is in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. I have worked in many positions related to the field as well as in software development.

...Unfortunately, little specific instruction in these areas is given in school, and students are left to devise solutions on their own, with little or no guidance. Some are able to do so successfully on their own, but many need outside help. My role as a tutor is to analyze where the breakdown is occurring, and customize a plan that meets the individual needs of the student.

...As a substitute teacher for the past six years, I always enjoy teaching Math in either elementary or even middle school. It is fun for me and I try to show my enthusiasm and enjoyment whenever I teach any subject in Math. As a substitute teacher in two different school districts, there are a large number of jobs that are able to be chosen in a given time period.

...I greatly enjoy supporting and connecting with students to help them understand the math. I am currently in graduate school, pursuing a Master's degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science. I greatly enjoy the work that math requires, applying concepts and equations to solve problems.

...I have tutored many of my friends and peers over the past 10 years in anything from Algebra, to Calculus, to Statistics, to our courses in Actuarial Science. Everybody has always been fond of my teaching styles and comes back to me whenever they need help. I specialize in all math courses through precalculus, probability and statistics, and the first two Actuarial exams.
