This is especially helpful when teaching others because having a step-wise method for students to follow can make mathematics much simpler when learning a new concept for the first time. ...The ACT math questions are more straight-forward than those on the SAT, and the ACT reading passages are at a slightly lower level, but many students struggle with the ACT's science section. Also, the ACT covers trig and elements of pre-calculus while the SAT goes only through Algebra 2. A major difference between the SAT and the ACT is that the ACT has a science section.

...There are many skills that contribute to achieving a high score. Knowing vocabulary and being able to use it well is probably the biggest key. I teach many test taking strategies to help the student understand the critical reading, even when the subject is boring to the student.
