...I have taught Writing as part of teaching Language Arts for over four years to ages from elementary through high school. I excel in Arithmetic and Basic Geometry, the foundations of Mathematics in elementary grades, but I struggled as a student to memorize math facts. Because I struggled, I developed different ways of thinking about and approaching the facts and problems.

I have taken Calculus since my senior year of high school. I am currently enrolled in differential equations, and passed Calculus 1, 2, and 3 with grades of B or better. I also have taken 3 physics classes at the college sophomore level that are calculus based.

Extensive experience tutoring Algebra 1 topics. These included solving linear equations in two variables both algebraically and graphically; solving quadratic equations by factorization and by utilizing the quadratic formula. Also taught foundational concepts in Algebra such as the number line, inequalities, roots, and functions.

I've also covered some of the topics of this subject within other courses, such as Network Flows, Calculus and Scientific Computing.
