I am currently an 8th grade math teacher in Broomfield. My path towards becoming a teacher began in high school when I tutored younger students in math. I continued to tutor in college while I earned my B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering but it wasn't until I taught an undergraduate biology course while working on my PhD that I realized my true calling was teaching.

...In my experience, it usually means that the teacher explains in a way that doesn't make sense to the student or the student can't see a reason to care about the subject. I'v dealt with both of those problems in my own early education. I was home-schooled up through 5th grade.
