...My favorite is the Montessori Method because it incorporates manipulatives and building symbols and letters. The little student can hold a toy horse or house, say the word and then find the letter ?h? to match the sound. I take the basic ?hooked on phonics? and incorporate it into my own program.

...I received 800 on both the SAT I Math and SAT II Math sections, and I tutored a high school junior student in SAT Math for half a year. My score was in the 93rd percentile for SAT I Writing. I have extensive experience tutoring the SATs, which is similar to the ASVAB, as well as tutoring a marine specifically in the ASVAB.

...If you don't do the work yourself, you'll probably not succeed. I also think there's a fear factor involving math. Most students think it is a difficult subject and fear they will do badly.
