...I understand the special needs student as I have tutored also for many years. With My BA and MA degrees plus 45+ credits in Mathematics Education I am confident I can communicate the subject and the appreciation for Mathematics to many diverse students. ...My pet peeve is those who attempt to "inflict" their viewpoints on the student. I believe the student needs the correct teaching, but also needs to be able to form their conscious of understanding what that teaching means to them. Difficult?
