I have more years as a teacher/tutor than can be included in a simple resume. My first job, at the age of 13, was a math tutor for my school district. I am currently doing environmental chemistry research full time, so I do not often get the chance to share my knowledge and passion for science and math with young students.

...I have been teaching at the college level since then as well. My doctoral work has focused on the use of technology and group work to enhance learning, particularly in the area of science. Students need to feel comfortable with a tutor, so establishing a rapport with students is my primary objective, because goals beyond that otherwise can't be achieved.

...Chem. courses have been focused on different perspectives; forensics and environmental chemistry. I have collected examples of chemistry applied to real world problems and of simple household chemical based demos and experiments. I have a Math B.A. and use Algebra often.
