...For example, I stand firm on restricting the use of a calculator for what I consider basic math calculations. If a fourth grader can do the math in their head, than I expect someone in grades 5 through 12 to be able to do the same! If they can't carry on these basic math functions without a calculator, than this is something I need to work on with them!
