...I agree strongly with psychologist Carol Dweck's theories about growth mindset: that success has to little to do with inherent "smartness" and comes from effort, practice, and learning from errors. I prefer to allow students to explore multiple ways to solve a problem. I believe that reasoning out a formula is far better than memorizing it.
