I meet with students in-home if they are located within 2 miles of me (11203) or in mutually convenient locations (i.e., coffee shops and libraries) in Brooklyn or lower Manhattan. ...I usually try to teach a topic in at least three different ways so that the person will have the choice of what makes sense to them. I have found that, because of big class sizes, students are only taught one way of looking at material. And, if they struggle to understand it or if their teacher is not very good at explaining the matter then they are overlooked and the class moves on.
