...About me: I grew up in Encinitas/Carlsbad area and played high school softball and soccer. I went to Cal Poly as a Math major due to my love and passion for Math. I believe every student has the potential to do well in math when given the confidence and proper teaching of the subject.I tutored Algebra in high school and college.

...I began tutoring math in high school, volunteering to assist an Algebra 1 class for 4 hours per week. Today I have hundreds of hours of experience, with the majority in Algebra and Statistics, and I would be comfortable well into college math. During the learning process, small knowledge gaps from past courses tend to reappear as roadblocks down the line.

...Besides helping the student learn the concepts, I also try to help with test taking skills. Past experience: I have tutored many many students from Torrey Pines, Canyon Crest Academy, West View High School and other schools nearby. I have tutored all regular and AP Math classes up to Calculus CD and AP Physics C in Physics.

...I have also tutored both reading and math for the SAT and ACT tests and my students did much better after my tutoring than they expected to do. I have been tutoring high school math since 2004 and have worked at Sylvan Learning Center as well teaching math including trig. I have taught it to students in Algebra 3/4 and in Precalc.
