...Over the summer of 2014, I took a Phonics and Spelling course at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. This course prepared me for teaching children the different components of phonics. I used many phonics activities such as word sorts, sentence strips, alphabet cards, and other phonics-based games with a student struggling in first grade.
