...When working with geometry students I find it beneficial to spend a little extra time looking at why axioms and theorems are true, rather than just using them. Instead of 2 column proofs, I find that students understand proofs of these concepts from drawings and practical examples. Of course, we can work on 2 column proofs if they are required or recommended by the classroom teacher.
