I have recently retired from FGCU and am looking for part-work. I have had over 50 years of teaching experience in both public and private colleges, middle and high school classrooms and one-on-one instruction with students from age 6 to teenagers. In tutoring I get to know a student much better than in a structured classroom setting.

...I have been teaching there for five years now and also have coached the girls soccer team for four years. I have been tutoring students in Spanish for two years. I love to see students make progress in the subject, it is very rewarding to see how the "lightbulb" in their head turns on when they understand something.

As a former member of Literacy America, a now defunct organization that helped young people read and write, I taught many illiterate persons how to read and write.
