My favorite classes to tutor are AP Calculus (AB), Calculus, Pre-Calculus , and Algebra (I or II). I am currently teaching mathematics and astronomy at a private school full time.

...Instead of giving my student all the answers, I ask enough questions to help them understand why and where they are having trouble. My responsibility, as a tutor, is to help them if they get stuck, try to troubleshoot where they might be going wrong, help them find an example in their textbook or notes, and practice similar problems with them. Thank you for your time and consideration.

...I have been a seamstress for 45 years. I can design, teach and make just about any item from a pattern or my own design work. I have taught family members and friends to sew, while taking sewing lessons on my own to better understand the craft from a student perspective.

...While practicing law, I frequently appeared in court in front of dozens of people. I have spoken to those interested in law while teaching both in my former law school and for the American Institute of Paralegal Studies where I was teacher of the quarter 7 straight times. My political involvement through the years has also required me to speak in front of diverse audiences.

...I resigned my teaching position in June of 2015 and decided to tutor and sub. This has given me the best of both worlds. I get to continue to be part of what is going on in our schools, by being a sub and at the same time I get to work one on one with students and continue to witness "Aha" moments from my students as a tutor!!! All the while having a flexible schedule for my family.
