...My approach is to not tell a student the answer, but to ask them questions. This is key in teaching and helps the student understand the process of solving a problem or comprehending a subject matter. If there are homework problems, I would want the tutee to first attempt them him or herself and then I would go over each problem to make sure if its correct.
