I have been tutoring (mainly in the Gaithersburg area, but recently moved to Frederick and discovered this wonderful site) since 2003 and can cover anything from pre-algebra through Calculus. My approach is a very low pressure and easy going way of learning. I don't make any extra work for students (unless requested), as I find most of them bogged down already.

...Algebra is pretty much the basis for all higher order maths. It is good to have a strong foundation before you begin building a skyscraper. That is why I believe that Algebra should be stressed at a young age and that this will increase the understanding of more difficult mathematical concepts later in your educational career.
