I am an independent contractor with Hillsborough County schools and focus on helping children with special needs make gains towards alternative assessments and FCAT. I participated in a program offered by USF and the Center for Autism and Related Disablilities.

...For this to be successful, I develop a sense of trust with the student and help him or her see that better studying leads to more time enjoying the things that he or she likes to do. I also make sure that I provide them with a range of options for studying so they have a "tool box" they can pick from.
