I have been tutoring science and math, particularly high school and college chemistry and algebra, since 1983. I have been teaching at the college level since then as well. My doctoral work has focused on the use of technology and group work to enhance learning, particularly in the area of science.

...Not only do I consider grammar very important, but I also find it interesting for its own sake. The most effective way to study grammar is by breaking sentences down into small pieces: clauses, phrases, individual words and punctuation marks, and then analyzing the correct usage of every element making up the sentence. I find diagramming sentences to be extremely helpful.
