...My goal is to help students improve their spelling. I use the multisensory Orton-Gillingham approach with my students who have dyslexia or are struggling readers. Although I introduce some of the most common spelling rules (Silent-e, Doubling, and Y rule,) I keep the rules to a minimum and believe that mastering a few principles is more important than half-learning several.
