I've always been drawn to sharing my love of learning with others. In high school I started tutoring math, English, and Spanish and looked forward to the days I could help other students who were struggling. Even though I was able to succeed without one-on-one help, I often thought about the ways that crowded classrooms and one-size-fits-all teaching had failed other students.
...I have NJ teacher certification for elementary level. I successfully taught fourth grade for four years, before teaching middle school for the past 16 years. I have tutored students in grades 1-5 - for math, spelling, and reading.
