At the first encounter I ask specific questions that help understand areas of difficulty. I always give a summary of what we'll be doing and a review at the end of session. I strongly encourage students to ask questions as we go on, and not move on unless they understand the previous.

...It is an extremely straightforward test. There are no tricks, other than being grounded in all of the basics of the three sciences it covers. Having taken a Kaplan course and deconstructed the material of the exam over and over again, I did fine (overall 99th percentile)...enough to believe that anyone can ace it with proper, regimented training.
