...And if a person thinks they understand something, yet does not do well on tests because they are bad at tests, then they?re probably mistaken. My experience leads me to believe that to really understand something, a person really needs to struggle through the ideas, to think about them hard and crank through examples without looking at the answers. Why struggle?

...One thing I hate is homework, which could be more appropriately called busy work. I won't assign a large amount of work to be done. If I do assign work, usually it'll just be three or four simply questions to reinforce concepts and maybe two tough questions after each session.
