...As for teaching style, I feel that the concept drives the skill. If you have the idea of what to do on a problem, you do not need to complete 10 similar problems. As such, I like to spend more time on the why than the what.

...It is the students responsibility to stop me immediately and ask questions if he/she does not understand. It is my responsibility, in response, to answer those questions and find a new way of explaining the problem so he/she does understand it. I believe a student should be able to "talk" mathematics as well as "write" it.
