I love to tutor and am excited to find myself with enough time to take on a small number of students. I graduated from MIT and am currently working on a start-up part time and at MIT as an instructor. I miss the one-on-one academic environment and am keen to share some of my knowledge.

...It repeats some of the material from Algebra 2 but with some additional and more complex ideas. And it introduces entirely new concepts that the student has not seen that he/she will be assumed to know when entering calculus later in his or her education. There is more abstraction than in Algebra 2 and a greater requirement for rigorous thinking.

...And some subjects - such as Evolution - are simply not taught in all school systems. I use diagnostic probes to explore students' mathematical thinking and help to shore up their knowledge gaps. Mathematics particularly is a subject where knowledge gaps in elementary arithmetic and algebra can cause cascading problems.

...I did the same while taking AP calculus. Later on while I was attending MIT, I've tutored high school honors physics, AP physics, and college physics. During my senior year of MIT, I also served as a physics teaching assistant and grader at MIT.
