Every child can learn Math, just sometimes they don't learn it the way the teacher wants to teach it. I love opening the eyes of students who have struggled with Math. I have taught High School and College and have over 10 years experience.

...The steps to succeeding on this exam are not too difficult, but it does require dedication and ample time to understand concepts. Calculus may seem very dull in understanding the "why" component: why are we doing this linearization and what are we supposed to use calculus for in our daily lives?...

...In my major I have a grade point average of 4.0. I like to develop the problem solving techniques of situations and not merely memorize for a test because there is always going to be at least one situation that doesn't fit any of the standards, how do you solve that? I passed Organic Chemistry in College > 3.0 average for both Organic I & II.

...Mathematics and/or mathematical reasoning is not only important but a necessary skill to have in the workplace and for everyday living. If I did not believe this, I would not have been teaching for as long as I have. I welcome any student that needs help in the areas of mathematics that I have indicated.

...While I was in graduate school at U of I, I taught classes in mechanical engineering such as dynamics. I really enjoy teaching, but I think it's usually done really poorly in schools. I like to associate things with real life so that the student can become more intuitive with the concepts.I am an engineer and use calculus for work.
