...I am currently fluent, but I was not born a native Spanish-speaker. Instead of seeing this as a disadvantage I consider it as an asset when it comes to teaching and tutoring. I am familiar with learning a foreign language, and I can make the material accessible to students because I have taught myself tricks and methods for remembering certain aspects of the Spanish Language.

...I dedicated more than 5 years teaching/tutoring Spanish, not only in USA but also in my home country, Peru, at my University. More than taking it as a job, I take it personally, since I do love teaching and love that others learn my native language. I am a very patient, creative, charismatic and goal-oriented person.

...I've been teaching languages for 7 years and I'm currently a French and Spanish Teacher. While living in France, I also taught English at the university level. First, and before starting any formal lessons, I like to talk with my students to really see and understand what it is they are hoping to gain from these courses.

...I feel so bad for so many Americans who spend so much money on Spanish lessons and still can't actually speak it. The way most teachers and famous programs teach appeals to many who don't like to do work, but they don't end up being able to actually speak Spanish. The methods I use to teach actually work.

...I am willing to teach/tutor all levels of Spanish. My teaching philosophy is simple, I like to keep students motivated and engaged using a communicative approach with plenty of real-life dialogue rather than instructor-directed learning. Along with my Master?s degree, I have six years of experience teaching both high school and college students.
