I have been tutoring for standardized tests since 2010. After graduating from Haverford College with a BS in molecular biology, I started a PhD program in biological anthropology at Yale University. I began tutoring for the SAT and ACT during that time for a local tutoring company in Connecticut, and I currently work full-time as an instructor.

...I wanted it since I was in second grade and never swayed from the idea. I taught in a parochial school for 17 1/2 years (the school closed or I would still be there) and then 2 years at a private school (got laid off). I, unlike many people, loved to get up each morning and go to work. I love teaching and watching students come into being their own person.

...My specialty is American History and more specifically the Civil War. I believe a good teacher has an enthusiasm for the subject they are teaching. History is about the times of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
