...This was before the ADA, of course as I wasn't a certified interpreter. But I do know some basic signs and can obviously pull out the books I have to review. Also, when younger kids (one year +) have difficulty expressing themselves (i.e. their language and speech isn't coming in) they get very frustrated as they can't communicate with their families.
