...In the 8th grade, I taught myself how to run the sound system in the high school auditorium and took up the mantle of sound engineer for most of the plays and musicals through my Senior year. The few times I was not behind the sound board, I took small parts on stage or in the chorus. At these times, I taught others how to run the sound system.
