...Drop me an email if you're interested in grabbing the **math** bull by the horns! Also, feel free to check out my blog to see that I am actually a real human being and not some impersonal profile! My background:
*New!* Ph.D Candidate w./ focus in Biophysics & Protein Aggregation
*New!* Second Lieutenant U.S.

I taught high school mathematics in New Jersey for over 20 years. I have experience tutoring students from my former high school and I have worked as a tutor for Sylvan Learning Center and other organizations. My favorite math subjects are pre-calculus and statistics.

...I present problems to solve and help them understand complex ideas and develop valuable learning skills that germinate into independent study. My tutoring subjects are in Math and Biology. I teach Math in the areas of Elementary, Middle and High School Math, covering topics from Algebra (Pre-, 1 and 2), Factorization, Quadratic Equations, Graphing and Geometry.

...The job provided me with extensive classroom experience and exposure to many different students and their learning habits. As a result, I am comfortable with any type of student and am trained to adapt to many different personalities and learning styles. While teaching, I also like to use a variety of materials including PowerPoint Presentations, pictures, and study guides.

...I am also New Jersey Certified in Biological Sciences. I am qualified to tutor botany due to my education and experience. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology, and have taught high school Biology, Honors Biology and AP Biology for over 10 years.
