...My favorite subject to tutor is math, as I taught Algebra and Geometry for a number of years. I am currently tutoring Elementary Students in Math, and I am tutoring several students in preparation for the SAT and ACT. I love tutoring as I feel that most people learn best as individuals or small group sessions.

...The one time which I took the SATs, I scored 800 on the math section. I am good at teaching strategies to improve the math score as well as providing the "tricks" of the the trade which make some of the problems more intuitive and less likely to make mistakes. Often times a student will know how to solve a problem but will make a simple arithmetic error and get it wrong.

...I offer tutoring in a multitude of subjects, but specialize in high school and college level mathematics, physics, chemistry, and statistics courses. I also offer tutoring in preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, etc. I have been tutoring on and off since 2002, and I can help you or your student through these often challenging courses.

I?m a Houstonian and a cum laude graduate with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I developed my interest in solving equations when I was in elementary school, and that interest only grew once I entered my 8th-grade algebra class. Because I am experienced in math for some years, I understand how much work is required to study such a subject.

...As a certified bilingual teacher, I am required to take 30 hours a year of professional development, which I cover by taking teaching workshops. I started the university by doing 3 years of Engineering and then switched to Architecture, graduating with a B Arch. I then did an interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Arid and Semi-arid Land Studies at Texas Tech.
