...I have been tutoring for over 15 years at all levels of physics (and mathematics). Since every student is different, I try to ?customize? my approach to meet the individual needs of the student. I think it is important to spend a lot of the sessions working with students to help them develop strategies for solving problems. At the same time, if needed, we discuss the theory that is required.

...I have two kids and the elder one has graduated from MIT and the younger one is in NYU now. I was surprised to find out that the high school teachers never care about students' grades and SAT tests in the US, so I tutored my two kids for their high school math, chemistry, physics and SAT subject tests. They all got perfect scores on these tests.

...Tutoring appeals to me because you can help somebody learn in a 1 on 1 environment. It is easy to be lost in the crowd of the classroom, but with tutoring you can cater a lesson to each student's individual needs. There is no better feeling than seeing a student finally grasp a concept they've struggled with, and knowing you helped them along that path.

...I have found that many students struggle with Precalculus. I taught Precalculus in high school for several years and have tutored many students in it. I have also taught and tutored students in Geometry, Algebra 2, and Calculus, so know both the foundations from the courses leading up to Precalculus as well as how what is learned will be used in the future.
