...In college, I took introductory course in programming and instantly enjoyed it. Afterwards, I took a few additional intermediate courses related with data structures and algorithms designs. My programming language of choice is Java.

...I also adapt the best teaching method based on each student's learning needs. Urmil brings years of experience as a math tutor and teacher working with elementary school, middle school, high school and college math students, as well as students who are home schooling. My specialties include Pre-Algebra, Algebra-I as well as Standardized Test Prep Math for ACT, SAT and PSAT.

...I believe this is only part of what makes me a good tutor. My patience, creativity, and my relational attitude help me to engage with students, helping them to feel more comfortable to tackle problems on their own. I try to ask questions that will get students to think and understand concepts on their own, but will reexplain ideas and concepts in different ways if the material is confusing.

...One of my favorite aspects of Calculus is applying the concepts to real life situations and where each portion of the course can be used. Pre-Algebra has always been one of my favorite subjects. As a practicing Professional Civil Engineer for the past 13 years I have found many uses for Pre-Algebra.
