...I have most of my experience from tutoring high school chemistry, but I have gained proficiency in many subjects ranging from mathematics to history. ...I think the best approach is to draw pictures and diagrams, especially with triangles. This has been especially helpful in the teaching of finding lowest common denominators to add unlike fractions. I use box diagrams to solve work and rate problems.
