I am currently a Spanish/ELD(ESL) teacher in the Capistrano Unified School District. I earned a Master's Degree in Bilingual Education from Columbia University in New York and an undergraduate degree in Spanish from Boston College. ...As part of my major, I studied linear algebra. In addition, I've taken many in-depth courses on mathematics and proof. Linear algebra is often used as a gateway to the more proof-based aspects of math, and I like how a good course teaches both concrete concepts while also scaffolding an understanding of proof in general.

...I have taken and passed the CBEST. I have been teaching/tutoring math (elementary through Calculus) and substitute teaching (all subjects) for 12 years. I think my ability to do the math portion of the CBEST should be obvious based on subjects passed.

I did outreach through Colorado University at Bates Elementary School, where I helped implement a tutoring program that improved test scores over the course of several semesters.
