I'm a retired college instructor and software developer and live in Philadelphia. I have tutored SAT math and reading for The Princeton Review, tutored K-12 math and reading and SAT for Huntington Learning Centers for over ten years, and developed award-winning math tutorials.
I am teaching math, for over 20 years now, and was awarded four times as educator of the year. I was also mentor of the year twice. I have a variety of experience teaching not only in different countries, but also teaching here in public school, private school, charter school, and adult continuing education school.
I am a cancer researcher at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, and I have a passion for teaching. As an undergraduate at a small liberal arts college, I double-majored in chemistry and biology. I subsequently earned my Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania.
...In college, I have worked as an editorial assistant at a news and culture startup, Ravishly.com. Moreover, I currently serve as a research assistant at the Biobehavioral Research Center. I specialize in teaching math (up to and including calculus), writing (proof-reading), Spanish, college test prep, and music.
