When I taught 7th-grade math it became very apparent which students grasped the basic skills needed to progress and those that had only a weak concept of skills. ...I teach students rules and to sound out words so that reading becomes more fluent. As a Second Grade teacher, I reinforce the correct forming of manuscript letters. When teaching Third Grade, cursive writing was part of the curriculum I was responsible to teach.
