

...By doing this, the students won't just have to memorize formulas, they will be able to derive them if they need to. I am extremely patient with them, and I will explain it in as many times and different ways I need to until the idea is clear. I find tutoring one of most rewarding experiences one can do.

...It is too basic to use it. Then we need to know how to manipulate the basic formula to something like cos2x = 2cos^2(x)  1 or 2cos^2(x) = cos(2x) + 1. Then from there we could integrate it directly or integrate by parts.
