...There's a reason many students aren't required to take it unnecessarily or opt not to if possible. Much of it is less "here are the steps" like algebra tends to be, and more "analyze and try a few possible steps". It can be frustrating to sort through such a thick topic alone, especially one that requires mastery of nearly everything learned from grades 3-12.
