...Summer is generally the best time to study for the ACT, as students often don't have to worry about normal school work. I often find that the best time to start is during the summer between 9th and 10th grade. I normally tutor for the ACT in two phases.

My approach to Algebra 2 is always two fold. I work hard to make sure a student has the basic skills to realistically progress throughout the class while maintaining current work levels. I do this through a set of uniquely written practice problems and exercises that I have written that I can send off the clock that are designed to increase overall Math IQ.

Beyond proof writing, while it may be other geometric concepts causing issues, it is probably number concepts, algebra skills, and/or mental calculations that need to be worked on. A further look is taken at parent graphs, how they can be translated, and the domain and range of functions are more closely kept track of.
