...It was the experience of a lifetime, and I have learned numerous new techniques to help students conquer their fear of math - including patience! Relating to students has always been my strong point and I offer a youthful energy that can make math fun again! During the summer of 2014, I taught trigonometry and algebra 1 at De La Salle High School in New Orleans.

...I absolutely love math and I love sharing that with students. In addition to teaching, I have also done some private tutoring in Algebra I, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, and Trigonometry. I look forward to helping you succeed in your math classes!

...I have worked with learners who struggle with reading and math and was a 4th grade teacher. I love to integrate technology into learning, but there is an equal balance of traditional learning with the technology. I am a mom and a wife and I love spending time with them!

...I have helped students with ADHD/ADD, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities not only succeed, but maybe even begin to enjoy, their high school science classes. I believe all students can succeed academically with a positive attitude and perseverance. Both of these can be challenging for students who have experience a lot of struggle and failure.

...It's fun to know why some things in math are "defined," such as why we can't divide by zero (because it would ruin all of multiplication, for one thing). What's a prime number, a whole number, a "real" number (and what else could there be? Unreal numbers?? We'll find out.) I have shown many students that they ARE indeed able to do math and enjoy it. You can, too.
