...I identify where a student becomes stuck, and then go back to explain how to solve, and why it works. This often involves generating new problems on the spot which focus on fixing that missing link. I will NOT teach my students a brainless set of steps to solve a problem.
...Calculus is my favorite subject. However, it can be difficult without a very strong understanding of trigonometry and precalculus. As such, I very much enjoy helping students build this foundation so when they do get to the higher courses, they can focus mainly on the new material.
