Hi there. I have to admit even the summary of my resume won't fit in the two paragraphs that Wyzant is allowing. :-) So here's a very abbreviated verison. I received the Ph.D. in engineering from UCSD in 1992 and a B.S. degree in mathematical sciences (probability and statistics) from UCSB in 1985.

...I enjoy helping students achieve their academic goals and cannot wait to help you achieve yours! I have three years of experience teaching college-level biostatistics. This not only includes the theory behind statistics but also how to run various statistical tests.
...The requirements for the minor was an additional 6 courses ranging in various statistical testing methods. I have worked on two independent research projects performing the statistical analysis on my own. Additionally, I previously tutored students in biostatistics as a tutor for the athletic department at Cal Poly.
...To achieve this goal, on the first meeting I assess the needs of the student and develop a plan for action. My greatest successes have been with students that receive regular lessons on an ongoing basis, but have also helped students preparing for a single upcoming test. I like to know how students do and how my lessons have helped my students, so feedback is central to my mission.
