I have a Ph.D. in chemistry and have been teaching General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry at a University for the last 4 years, in addition to tutoring students in High School Chemistry. I currently teach Organic Chemistry I and II in a university setting. My methods focus on applied problems related to learning IUPAC nomenclature, drawing structures, and reaction mechanisms.
...All three of those subjects required organic as a prerequisite since we had to know reactions learned in organic I and II. I was fortunate enough to have an organic lecture where we always worked in groups and taught each group member how to understand and memorize some of the reactions. For organic, I have a model kit to visually aid in seeing an atom or molecule will move and take shape.

...I have tutored over 500 students and I feel as a strong candidate for tutoring physical sciences. I am qualified to tutor elementary math because I have a strong background in math. My degrees are in the physical sciences, chemistry, where I utilize math in everyday life.
...Many of my students have reached the rank of Black Belt under my tutelage. I completed a course in linear algebra as part of my coursework at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Georgia Tech differs from other universities in that the Algebra 2 course is combined with the Calculus 3 course and taken as one subject.
