...I believe that the role of the teacher is to facilitate a student's learning and ensure that the student is learning how to learn. It is not the role of the teacher to deliver facts to a student and expect them to remember them for the simple reason of passing a test. State standardized tests, such as the ACT, require that a student can perform skills that will help them to solve he problem.
