I used to run a walk-in math center at a community college in upstate NY for students struggling with Pre-Calculus through Multi-Variable Calculus. Calc may be a bit confusing, but if you know the right tricks it can also be kinda fun...kind of like a giant math puzzle.

...I teach how to reason and explain and problem solve, not how to memorize, regurgitate, and forget. Even for technical subjects I emphasize logical foundations and deep conceptual understanding -- because that's what enables you to think for yourself and usually what others are terrible at teaching.
